About the Event

24th October, 2022 will be observed as Diwali across India.

Diwali is one of the most important festivals of India. It marks the beginning of a new year in the Hindu Calendar.

It is the festival of lights. The word 'Diwali' is derived from the Sanskrit word 'Deepavali' meaning 'Line of Lamps'. The festival celebrates the triumph of light over darkness, knowledge over ignorance, and good over evil.

Diwali is celebrated over a course of 5 days marking important events: Dhanteras, Chhoti Diwali, Diwali (Lakshmi Puja), Padwa, and Bhai Duj.

Every year at Adhyatma Niketan, Diwali is celebrated with vim, zest and joy. The Sadhaks come together and Satsang is conducted, where there is a Study of scriptures (Swadhyay), followed by Shabds and Bhajans. Post this, Param Pujya Maharaj Ji offers a Pravachan (discourse), showering his blessings on all the devotees, following which, the Aarti is conducted. On the day following Guru Purnima, Guru Pujan is conducted.
